Ideal Candidate:

  • Basic understanding of Firewall Rules nice to have

  • IT experience would be a nice to have

  • ITIL Certification nice to have

  • SharePoint and service now experience would be a nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Job Description:

This candidate:

  • will assist the firewall team with changes and pushing items to production

  • Facilitation validation of releases

  • Facilitate the bridge and/or hand off calls and ensure changes are executed as planned

  • Triage issues and liaise with Validation partners to resolve.

  • Send out meeting minutes to the executive team

  • Recommend improvements to the overall change process

  • Additional tasks to be performed if time allows

  • Cleanup (Firewall rules/requests post 30 days, review the queue for abnormalities)

  • QA of next day’s request

  • Metrics and Reporting

  • Coordinate and manage the day-to-day process activities, workflows and work instructions

  • Supports design, development, and implementation of automated processes for gathering, populating, and maintaining process data

  • Develop KPI’s to measure the effectiveness of processes and utilizes those KPI’s to help continuously improve overall IT Service quality

  • Ensure all reporting and data is delivered in a timely manner

  • Initiate follow-up actions to correct any problems or inefficiencies arising during execution of the Process

Job Type: Contract (long-term) 

Salary: $25.00 to $26.00 /hour

Job Requirements

1.     Must Haves (Tangible experience):

•       High School Diploma

•       2 years overall experience required

•       Organizational skills

•       Excellent documentation skills including process flow documentation required

•       Ability to translate details into specific tasks needed to accomplish a task or solve a problem

•       Ability to problem solve and work well in complex, ambiguous situations

•       Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts

•       Proven ability to navigate the technology environment and work effectively with multiple groups

•       Strong negotiation/persuasion and analytical skills
