Technical Value Stream Lead (REMOTE)

Job Title: Technical Value Stream Lead
Contract Type: Temp to Perm Contract (Could convert as soon as 3 months to perm)
Location: REMOTE working EST hours

Job Description/Notes from manager:
Closest common job family is the Solutions Architect, but the Technical Value Stream Lead has more ownership of the software delivered by their associated teams
Prefer candidates who have prior experience as a software developer and promoted to senior engineer, software manager, or solutions architect. Deprioritize candidates who exclusively have consulting/architecture/sales engineering without the time in a dev team on a software product
Prefer candidates with typescript experience, but not a requirement. Anyone with a good development background should not struggle picking up typescript
Prefer candidates with work experience delivering software on AWS. Certifications (SA Associate, SA Pro, Developer, Data Analytics) are nice to have but do not replace experience. Candidates with similar experience delivering on Azure or GCP are fine, doesn't exclude them
Desired time allocation in role: 60% architecting solutions translating product requirements into software specifications to be delivered by developer teams, 20% prototyping to inform roadmap and architecture decisions, 20% raising code quality of work delivered by their teams
Not a people management role. Separate engineering manager owns people management
Reports to the technical application lead (director)
