Occupational Summary

We are looking for an experienced Tableau Administrator with skill set in SAP Business Objects (BOBJ), Tableau, and Microsoft cubes with strong technical and interpersonal skills.  We have BusinessObjects and cubes integrated with our Epic electronic health record (EHR) system to support extensive Crystal, WebI, and excel (using cubes) reporting. The Administrator will be a part of a small team responsible for the installation and maintenance of the reporting software and overall operational environments. The admin team works closely with the report development teams to provide support, common standards, access and security controls, and to manage most of the production reporting queues.

We are looking for a candidate who can fill a mid-level Level 2 position where Level 1 is entry level and Level 3 is team or tech lead. We encourage candidates who are strong in either Tableau or BusinessObjects administration but have limited experience in the other to apply.

Work Performed as LEVEL 2:

  • Individual contributor that works under limited supervision. Applies subject matter knowledge; requires capacity to understand specific needs or requirements to apply skills/knowledge
  • Maintains a level of exposure to external industry and market technical intelligence
  • Performs and coordinates simple to complex projects with minimal direction
  • Optimizes internal resources to maximize team capabilities
  • Leads peers to resolve complex issues consistent with divisional/organizational goals
  • Serve as technical resource for discipline in cross-functional teams
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Effectively communicates specific IT issues/solutions to clients
  • Technical writing to document functional specifications, metadata, and process to transfer knowledge to customers and team

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training:

Bachelor's degree in a related field, or four years of equivalent technical experience required.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:



Experience:

Three years of related experience is required.


Level 2 Skills:

  • In depth understanding of SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) or Tableau server architecture.
  • 3 years of BOBJ administration experience including upgrades, patches, and monitoring or comparable experience with Tableau server administration
  • Experience with all aspects of CMC, CMS and CCM administration, including troubleshooting and tuning.
  • Ability to troubleshoot performance problems with server applications SAP BusinessObjects and/or Tableau
  • Ability to leverage industry best practices and methods.
  • Capability to establish, maintain, and ensure adherence to application standards for data reporting and extracting.
  • Skills to adhere to corporate data security requirements for the storage, transportation, and retention of data.
  • Strong foundation in technology, analytics and good understanding of project management
  • SQL knowledge, ability to dissect SQL code to QA reports and troubleshoot errors.
  • Knowledge of principles of design and best practices for data visualization




PREFERRRED EXPIERENCE

  • Administration of BusinessObjects server systems in a clustered environment.
  • Experience using Epic
  • Epic certified.
  • In depth knowledge on Tableau Desktop, Tableau Reader and Tableau Server
  • Design, Deploy, Administer, and maintain SSAS cubes.
  • Experience in SAP BusinessObjects administration, security, and back-up and restore process.
  • Tableau visual reporting and dashboard building
  • Knowledge of administration and installation of Tableau servers (TABCMD scripting)
  • Experience in creating complex Web Intelligence Reports
  • Sound knowledge of RDBMS, DB design, data warehousing / data marts.
  • Perform planning, estimation, support, training and de-bugging on various BI tools.
