Job Description

Title: Systems Engineer

This individual will have a background in unix/linux system administration, security practices, infrastructure integration, network protocols, and authentication data flows. It requires a person with technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage projects from beginning to end.

Responsibilities:

  • Build/maintain video delivery systems using manual and automated methods
  • Identify innovative solutions to broad and complex integration challenges
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for existing lab infrastructure
  • Implementation of monderate-scope projects or major initiatives and perform platform upgrade projects, following company engineering standards
  • Performs independent and complex technical functions for multiple projects
  • Develops comprehensive documentation for projects and/or initiatives.

A strong understanding of the following is required:

  • Linux (redhat, centos, ubuntu)
  • System Administration
  • Networking (L2, network topology (cisco, arista, juniper)
  • Storage and storage systems (netapp, SAN, FC, NFS)
  • VMWare (ESXi, vCenter, VROps)
  • Cisco UCS
  • Scripting (bash, python, perl)

Additional Desired Skills:

  • Windows
  • Troubleshooting, performance tuning
