Supply Chain Project / Promotions Manager


Downers Grove, IL



Job Overview:


Provides oversight, planning and strategic execution leadership to the cross functional teams established to manage the execution of multiple packaging initiatives and customer approval teams, including process development, timeline management, risk mitigation analysis, communications and solution identification. Leads Promotions Management ownership of packaging projects from Gate 1 through post-launch. Interacts directly with the client and various suppliers. Responsible for various levels of project quantity and complexity. Lead role for training, documentation and management of complex projects requiring process expertise. PMP certification is preferred.



Responsibilities:


Manage indirect reports via project/program team members.


Financial Responsibility:


Ensure general business expenses are reasonable and customary.


Business Development Responsibility:


Establish a strong network of relationships with external partners and clients to foster execution excellence, collaboration and demonstrated thought leadership.


Develop internal and external relationships that help promote expanded services.



Primary Responsibilities:


  • Lead assigned projects in order to meet customer objectives, milestones and timelines.

  • Develop and maintain solid business relationships through extensive collaboration with key internal/external stakeholders

  • Build and nurture exceptional relationships with key HGS & customer leadership

  • Communicate project status and reports to appropriate stakeholders

  • Identify and drive teams to develop recommendations/scenarios, escalating issues/risks as appropriate

  • Utilize disciplined and repeatable processes in project execution

  • Lead the identification, development and implementation of process improvements

  • Lead or participate in special project teams

  • Lead or identify opportunities for additional value added services



Skills Required:


  • Project Management (e.g. MS Project, EPM Live)

  • Inventory / Demand Management Applications

  • Project Management, Supply Chain and Logistics, Consumer Packaging, Commercialization


Job Type: Contract

Job Requirements

Supply chain project management, food service/retail industry experience, promotions management, JDA Software, demand planning, Degree in supply chain - preferably from Michigan State.
