Supply Chain Network Design & Optimization


Job Summary:

•         This position is responsible for supporting the supply chain network optimization and design efforts to improve service levels and reduce cost of existing global distribution network.  The role will also identify innovation opportunities that support the medium and long-term growth and productivity strategies for the company. 

•         A successful candidate combines business strategy and analytic skills with experience in transportation, logistics, inventory strategy, finance, and distribution center operations.


Job Description:


Key responsibilities include:

•         Develop supply chain network design solutions that support the medium and long-term corporate strategy and rapidly shifting trends in the oil and gas industry

•         Gather and synthesize internal and external information to develop a distribution design that considers customers’ current and future requirements, company growth plans, competitive landscape and global supply chain’s impact on existing network

•         Develop data models and conduct analyses to identify service and cost improvements (transportation, inventory stocking levels, and operational expenses) and for both domestic and international markets

•         Determine optimal product flows from supplier to customer

•         Develop key performance indictors / measurements to track improvement activities within distribution network

•         Identify and size necessary supply chain capacity investments

•         Identify ways to optimize inventory through improved stocking strategies

•         Synthesize and present analyses and recommendations to leadership for decision-making

•         Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal stakeholders

•         Evaluate and implement best-in-class network design and optimization tools

•         Perform other special assignments and duties as may be required


Basic Qualifications:

•         Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Applied Statistics, or related fields

•         Minimum 3 years of work experience in Supply Chain Network Design, Distribution or Inventory Optimization

•         Proven experience conducting Flow Path Design Analysis, Network Strategy and Optimization, Transportation Strategy, Routing Optimization, and Inventory Optimization

•         High analytic capability with data-driven approach to solving complex supply chain problems

•         Proficiency in LLamasoft software (Supply Chain Modeling/Network Optimization Tool)

•         Basic understanding of statistical modeling

•         Strong proficiency in SAP (functionality, data extraction etc.)

•         High level of verbal and written communications skills

•         Ability to handle multiple priorities and identify creative solutions to complex problems

•         Strong collaboration skills

•         Flexibility to travel globally up to 10%


Preferred Qualifications:

•         MBA/MS 

•         Oil and Gas service industry experience

•         Certification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics (APICS/ISM) or other professional designation

Job Requirements

Key Note:

•         Proficiency building data models using LLamasoft software (requirement)

•         Good working knowledge in distribution, logistics and transportation

•         Effective communication, influencing and change management skillset

•         Proven project management and project leadership experience
