Position: Senior Finite Element Analyst (FEA)

Location: Houston, TX

Duration: 1 year

Essential Functions (Responsibilities):

Develop high fidelity finite element models, with emphasis on ASME Sec VIII Div 2 and Div 3 analysis requirements including elastic-plastic, global plastic collapse, ratcheting, thermal, fatigue and fracture mechanics analysis

•        Execute and provide guidance for the analysis / evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirements

•        Work with product and design team to ensure that proper boundary conditions are being considered

•        Gather material characterization data/models for materials

•        Responsible for analyzing behavior under temperature, fatigue and other conditions as required

•        Relate analytical results to real world performance

•        Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or

•        tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures

•        Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical and program requirements, schedules

•        and contract commitments

•        Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems

Requirements:

•        Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering

•        Minimum experience of 12 years running Analysis / FEA experience

•        Knowledge and understanding of ASME Sec VIII Div 2 and Div 3 requirements

•        Oil & Gas industry

Desired:

•        Prior Oilfield Experience

•        MS or PhD degrees preferred

•        Knowledge of API 17TR8

•        Strong oral and written communication skills, including executive level presentation skills

•        Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

•        Able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers

•        Clear thinker with ability to develop, communicate, and deliver clear strategy and action plans

•        Ability to sort through information and make timely and sound decisions

•        Knowledge of hyperelastic models
