Job Description

Position   : Scrum Master

Location  : Richmond, VA

Duration  : 6 months  Contract to Hire

Responsibilities

• Be a servant-leader for the Scrum Team and ensures clear communication and organization of all team objectives.

• Guiding the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values

• Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving

• Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution

• Facilitate team productivity by removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment that may obstruct the pursuit of the team's sprint goals and by preserving flexibility and ability to rapidly respond to changes on the team.

• Responsible for facilitating Agile ceremonies

• Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information

• Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining

the product backlog

• Ability to effectively interact with both internal and external customers

Minimum Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in a large organization and involved with product development, multiple teams.

• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

• Working knowledge of Agile Scrum best practices

Additional Knowledge & Skills

Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail

Must have outstanding communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and

non-technical

Strong collaboration and customer-focused skills with an ability to create visible value

Scrum Master certification required

SAFe experience a plus

Education

4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
