Responsibilities:

Solution Architecture:

  • Lead the design and architecture of SAP HANA solutions that align with business requirements and long-term goals.
  • Create scalable, reliable, and high-performance architecture designs, ensuring the optimal utilization of SAP HANA capabilities.

Technical Leadership:

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, including developers, data modelers, and functional consultants.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.

SAP HANA Expertise:

  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of SAP HANA architecture, including data provisioning, data modeling, and memory optimization.
  • Design and implement complex data models, calculation views, stored procedures, and advanced analytical functions.

Performance Optimization:

  • Identify opportunities for performance improvement and implement strategies to optimize query performance and data processing.
  • Conduct performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting to enhance system responsiveness.

Integration Strategy:

  • Define integration approaches between SAP HANA and other systems, including SAP modules and external data sources.
  • Ensure seamless data flow and interoperability while maintaining data integrity and security.

Best Practices and Standards:

  • Establish and enforce best practices, coding standards, and guidelines for SAP HANA development and implementation.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in SAP HANA technology and recommend their adoption where applicable.

Documentation and Communication:

  • Create comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and implementation guidelines.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Collaboration and Training:

  • Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and other architects to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior team members, fostering their professional growth.

Vendor Collaboration:

  • Work closely with SAP vendors, partners, and support teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure smooth implementation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
  • 8-10 years of hands-on experience as an SAP HANA Architect, with a strong track record of successful SAP HANA implementations.
  • Extensive expertise in SAP HANA architecture, data modeling, and performance optimization.
  • Proficiency in SAP HANA Studio, SAP HANA Cloud, and related development tools.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL scripting, stored procedures, and advanced analytical functions.
  • Experience with SAP HANA security, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
  • Solid understanding of integration patterns and methodologies, especially within an SAP landscape.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to design innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • SAP HANA certification and additional relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams.
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
