DISYS currently has an opportunity available for a Provisioning Technician primary responsible for managing the shipping and receiving, inventory, asset tagging, and provisioning of IT equipment across unclassified (low-side) environments. The Provisioning Technician will also be responsible for providing after-hours support on the Service Desk (Help Desk) by answering inbound calls and responding to emails and chat sessions from internal customers to resolve issues or process requests.
In this hybrid position, the Provisioning Technician will provide the following services:

  • Inventory

  • Imaging

  • VOIP telephone imaging

  • Sanitization

  • Shipping/Receiving

  • Answering calls through the IVR phone system

  • Ticket creation (ServiceNow) and remote troubleshooting


RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Primary:

  • Break down deliveries from pallets and stock shelves in a neat and orderly manner.

  • Check and verify shipments for accuracy and condition.

  • Review, update and audit service tickets for data accuracy.

  • Assist in receipt and track storage of inventory items.

  • Perform physical inventory of assets and peripherals.

  • Re-stock and cycle count IT storage locations.

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, review, analyze inventory discrepancies.

  • Complete and maintain appropriate shipping and receiving documents.

  • Mark inventory items using asset management controls.

  • Updates and verifies accuracy of data input into the computer inventory program daily.

  • Receives equipment, counts items and records data using system of record.

  • Create service requests in ticketing system for installation, conversions, upgrades, special projects.

  • Support Human Resources with employee on/off-boarding activities related to equipment purchasing.

  • Coordinate moves using a calendaring system.

  • Assist in the preparation of end of life and e-waste inventory disposition.

  • Recommend products that enhance or resolve a customer's issue.

  • Create and maintain large sets of data utilizing database systems, online applications, Excel, etc.


Secondary:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for internal customers seeking technical assistance via calls, emails and chat sessions.

  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.

  • Monitor and respond quickly to incoming requests.

  • Answers queries and addressing system and user issues in a timely and professional manner.

  • Train end-users on basic system and computer functions.

  • Troubleshoot customer problems and initiate follow-up and follow-through to resolve customer issues.

  • Record all interactions with customers, and the updates and details discovered during troubleshooting, into the ticketing system


HOURS:

  • 4 days per week / 10 hour shifts, 6pm - 5am, Monday - Thursday.


JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

  • 3+ years of Desktop Support, Help Desk / Service Desk, AND warehouse / shipping & receiving experience required

  • General knowledge of the supporting activities directly related to PC/Mac, Operating Systems, encryption software, Smart Phones, Printers, Network and RSA SecurID tokens.

  • Ability to accept and implement coaching and feedback to achieve individual or team performance objectives.

  • Possess technical aptitude for performing technical tasks to resolve customer issues or escalate as required.

  • Familiarity with ServiceNow ITSM and LANDesk remote assistance tools.

  • Ability to work in a high intensity, stressful environment.

  • Ability to work alone or as a member of a team to meet SLA's set forth.

  • Ability to work in a professional environment and possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with supervisor and coworkers.

  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary by management to support the customer.


This position requires an active Department of Defense security clearance at the SECRET level or ability to obtain the clearance for consideration. Must be able to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance, if needed
U.S. citizens only are eligible to for this position and to obtain a security clearance
EDUCATION:

  • HS Degree - Required, Associates in Information Technology related field, preferred.

  • IAT Level 1 technical certification or greater, preferred OR must be able to obtain within 90 days of start date.


EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Submit/Pass a 10-year background check, criminal history, drug screening, and fingerprints

  • Valid driver's license/Real-ID with clean driver's history

  • Self-starter with extremely strong work ethic. Excellent time-management and multitasking skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy required

  • Demonstrated problem solving and people skills

  • Ability to research, resolve and complete tasks within pre-determined deadlines and schedules

  • Able to process work quickly and accurately - dealing with interruptions, changing timelines and priorities on a regular basis

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to articulate details in a professional manner

  • Must embrace technology to promote efficient operations

  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, and Word programs
