Job Title: Project Manager


Location: The Woodlands, TX


Duration: 5 months 


 


The Network Growth Project Manager is accountable for all aspects of the planning, coordination and delivery of IT services pertaining to the growth of the US Oncology Network. Growth in this segment occurs through three primary channels, including In-Market Affiliations, Comprehensive Strategic Alliances and Acquisitions.


 


Key Responsibilities


Contribute to the currency of the Network Growth & Business development portfolio as projects indicate


• Contribute to the IT strategy by providing proposals which include: cost, solution selection and business drivers using ePMO provided templates to aid the regional or market in realizing their strategic goals


• Provide IT leadership to ensure delivery of practice projects on time, on budget and meeting scope and quality expectations


• Maintain the assigned project portfolio by keeping the project health details updated and all required project artifacts in the ePMO documentation repository


• Contribute to the constant improvement of the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office and support the project management methodology


 


Minimum Requirements:


5+ years’ experience in IT project management, requirements definition, building systems solutions and/ or deployment of business requirements to information systems


 


Critical Skills:


• Project management experience in a technical/IT environment with software application, construction and infrastructure style projects


• Ability to manage multiple short and long term projects toward effective solutions and according to budget and timelines


• Leadership experience managing cross functional teams (onsite, remote, and third-party resources)


• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills to various levels of the organization (staff to executive)


• Experience using SDLC and/or agile project methodologies


• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project and MS Visio


 


Additional Knowledge/Skills


Healthcare or pharmaceutical industry, required


• Experience in the clinical setting as well as with construction projects, strongly preferred.


• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred


• Process improvement experience (Six Sigma or Lean certification a plus)


• Agile and/or Scrum certification or equivalent experience a plus


• Knowledge of ITIL foundations principals and methodology (IITIL certifications a plus)


• Working knowledge of contract negotiations, resource capacity planning and budget forecasting


 


Education:


4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience


 


Working Conditions:


Environment (Office, warehouse, etc.) – Normal office environment
