Job Description

Title:  Network Engineer II

FLSA:  Exempt

Network Engineer II requirements and the following

1.     Collaborate with Architecture and the development team on designing large, scalable and robust systems.

2.     Lead and develop configuration and support strategy of networking and systems. This includes things like clustering/stacking, network monitoring, automated backups and disaster recovery.

3.     Manage our continuous integration infrastructure, allowing the team to develop and deploy quickly and find defects as quickly as possible.

4.     Work with other engineers on monitoring and testing to ensure SLAs are met

5.     Research related products and implement innovative solutions.

6.     Mentor other engineers across product development teams.

7.     Innovate constantly and maintain the technical edge.

8.     Facilitate the continued growth of communication and teamwork between development and operations teams.

9.     Build complex designs and present to customers in cycle. Deliver product and solution demonstrations

10.  lead large customer network deployments end to end

Job Requirements

Network Engineer II 

Minimum Qualifications

All of the above plus

1.     Must be a senior level Network administrator with 5 years of experience.

2.     Must have 3 – 5 years of experience in a service provider and/or datacenter environment.

3.     A working knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP, and service provider Ethernet transport technologies

4.     The ability to script common network configurations for deployment.

Preferred Qualifications for Network Engineer II

1.     Experience in configuration of Extreme Networks XOS, Juniper Networks JunOS, Cisco IOS Systems, and or Fortinet FortiOS equipment.

2.     General knowledge of ITIL and ITSM processes

3.     [consulting] Experience with enterprise WiFi systems such as Aruba Networks, Exterme Networks/Enterasys IdentiFi
