IT Support Analyst

Position Overview:

Client is seeking an experienced IT Support Analyst to join the US IT team in a diversified role required for various responsibilities related to all aspects of IT support and solution delivery for the local business unit.  This role will be a critical focal point in support of global and Houston remote IT personnel and team’s activities.  In addition, the IT Support Analyst will provide hands on local technical support as necessary to the primary Desk Side Support Analyst if and when required.

Reporting to the Houston office IT Leadership team, the successful candidate will be focused on delivering a consistent, high quality level of service with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Responsibility will be for all of the business unit main office in Warrendale, PA and its field operations office location in Horseheads, NY.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  1. •         Provide effective support to the Repsol environment (user support and IT infrastructure) including (but not restricted to) the following tasks:
  2. •         Engage local business stakeholders to identify and communicate IT needs based on demands and/or problems;
  3. •         Support various project support activities from analysis and gathering of business requirements to coordination and support of technology (hardware, software, service) implementation;
  4. •         Perform various IT project management support activities;
  5. •         Provide backup technical support for various Deskside support activities, including but not limited to:
  6. •         Collaborate frequently with remote IT teams for escalated attention and support of incident or request fulfillment
  7. •         Support for Mobile Devices
  8. •         Hands and eyes support for critical infrastructure (communications equipment, other)
  9. •         Support stand alone and network printers, including print queues, if required
  10. •         Support of local meeting room technologies and media event support for larger scale or critical meetings
  11. •         Coordinate local technology maintenance, upgrades or related change activities with onsite personnel or external vendor(s);
  12. •         Provide elements of training and awareness to business personnel for new or changed IT services;
  13. •         On-call availability when required;
  14. •         Ability to travel to Horseheads, NY office location on quarterly or ad-hoc basis;
  15. •         Ability to travel to Houston, TX office location on a semi-annual basis.

 

Qualifications:

  1. •         College degree in business or IT
  2. •         2-3 years in IT customer or technical support related role
  3. •         Minimum 2-3 years of IT Analyst and/or Project Management experience
  4. •         Excellent oral and written communication skills
  5. •         Strong skills associated with bridging technical problems that cross functions, such as understanding cause and effect and root cause relationships for complex IT problems
  6. •         Proficient with Office productivity tools
  7. •         Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills
  8. Familiar with ITIL processes
