    Job Summary:

    As an IT Asset Management Clerk, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the shipping and receiving of IT equipment, conducting testing procedures, and maintaining accurate records of the organization's IT inventory. Your role is critical in ensuring the smooth functioning of the IT infrastructure and supporting various departments with their technology needs. This IT Asset Management Clerk role plays a crucial part in ensuring the organization's IT assets are well-managed, allowing seamless operations and supporting the technology needs of various departments.

    Responsibilities:

    • Receive incoming IT equipment and verify the accuracy of shipments.

    • Prepare outgoing IT equipment for delivery, ensuring proper packaging and documentation.

    • Collaborate with vendors and logistics partners to track shipments and resolve any delivery issues.

    • Conduct thorough testing of all received IT equipment to ensure functionality and quality.

    • Identify and report any defects or issues with the equipment promptly.

    • Coordinate with IT technicians to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, if needed.

    • Maintain an organized and up-to-date inventory of all IT assets.

    • Monitor stock levels and proactively reorder IT equipment as necessary.

    • Implement inventory control procedures to prevent loss, theft, or misplacement of assets.

    • Use asset management software or tools to accurately record all IT assets' details, including serial numbers, specifications, and locations.

    • Regularly update the database to reflect changes in asset status, such as deployments, repairs, or retirements.

    • Generate reports on asset utilization, maintenance history, and compliance as required.

    • Work closely with IT teams to fulfill equipment requests and ensure timely delivery.

    • Provide support during IT audits and assist in gathering required documentation.

    • Collaborate with procurement and finance departments for budgeting and financial reconciliation purposes.

  • Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in IT or asset management are a plus.

    • Proven experience in a similar role, handling shipping and receiving, and managing IT inventory.

    • Familiarity with various IT equipment, including computers, laptops, servers, peripherals, and networking devices.

    • Proficient in using asset management software or tools to track and manage inventory.

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate testing and documentation.

    • Good organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

    • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

    • Basic understanding of IT systems and troubleshooting concepts.
