Job Title:


Instructional Designer facilitator



SUMMARY:


Responsible for the creation of coursework including creating project plans, course materials utilizing adult learning principles in support of APS values and strategic objectives and aligns with the objectives of business.



MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:


1) Provides instructional design support to peer department staff members in the creation of high-impact foundational, product, compliance, and other programs as needed.


2) Assure that development costs are projected in a manner that facilitates all planned development activities while minimizing training related expenditures.


3) Assure that courses are developed to support capturing data upon completion to facilitate timely and value added training reporting. Experience with learning management systems including AICC/SCORM reporting requirements for online content is expected.


4) Remains current with and implements state-of-the-art training delivery modes, techniques, and technologies and partners with department staff in applying most effective options for each development intervention.


5) Build partnerships with internal business partners to ensure corporate programs are well aligned with organizational objectives and strategies.


6) Establish the business case to compare off-the-shelf products vs. internal development of training materials to offer solutions appropriate to the requirements.


7) Technically adept; understands the impact of web based content creation on bandwidth and network optimization. Skilled in the incorporation of audio, video, social media and newer technologies to increase learner engagement.


8) Assure that each training intervention, whether in-class or virtual, includes Kirkpatrick evaluation levels; acts on the results of the data provided.


9) Demonstrates the ability to engage and develop others.


10) Demonstrates the ability to estimate and meet establish and dynamic timelines. Shows flexibility to adjust content and workload to meet expectations under time constraints in a dynamic and adaptive work environment. Works well independently and collaboratively in a highly functioning team. .

Job Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


Bachelor's degree in business, education or an equivalent combination of four (4) years relevant work experience and college coursework in a related area.


Additionally, five (5) years of demonstrated effective performance in a training and development role.


Call center background in a service configuration is desirable.


Understands and uses process methodology based on the Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate (ADDIE) model to develop professional and relevant content.


Proficiency in software applications including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Power Point, Visio, web and instructional design software (Articulate, Captivate etc.).


Must have experience in instructional design and delivery of instructor-led in person, virtual (Web-X) and rapid self-paced materials.


Understands the impact of social media on learning and designs robust solutions to target various learning styles.
