Dexian has been engaged to identify Electrical Engineers for full time, staff opportunities with a nationally prominent Professional Services, Engineering Consulting firm. Electrical Engineers will design building electrical systems including power, lighting, fire alarm, and special systems. The candidates will have the opportunity to work on projects in a variety of market sectors, such as healthcare, academic, industrial, and commercial projects.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Develop the electrical systems design of a given project based on scope of work and/or client requirements.

  • Provide engineering planning, design, and construction administration for all electrical systems including power, lighting, and fire alarm systems.

  • Conduct existing building surveys and documentations of existing electrical and fire alarm systems.

  • Write/edit project specifications.

Prerequisites:

  • A minimum of 5 years design experience.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • LEED certification/experience. PE/EIT is preferred.

  • Experience with projects in healthcare, science and technology, education and commercial buildings. Educational projects design is preferred.

  • Knowledge of electrical calculations including lighting photometric calcs, voltage drop and overcurrent protection coordination, and short circuit calculations.

Skills/abilities:

  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office.Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines.

  • Excellent work ethic and attitude.

  • Effective communication and time management skills.

  • Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
