Communications Manager



As a consultant of Digital Intelligence Systems (DISYS) in Fargo, North Dakota, the role of the Communications Manager is to encourage, facilitate, and develop relationships through various communication platforms. Serving a global audience in the higher education space, the Communications Manager will need to ensure educators using technology in curriculum are connected to experts, partners, resources, and online learning.



The role supports communications activities, coordinates marketing initiatives, and oversees the web presence of the online community. The Communications Manager will drive active engagement between online community members through the utilization of blogs, forums, and social media, and will have partial responsibility for responding to inquiries. In addition, this role will involve brand evangelism and promoting the online community to new audiences.



About the community:


The online community for academics helps institutions of higher education worldwide use technology in their curriculum, preparing students with hands-on experience in using modern business applications. When intelligent cloud applications that unify CRM and ERP are used in curriculum, it can increase the overall value of course offerings. Educators demonstrate thought leadership and prepare students for the modern workplace with strong technology skills and real-world experience.



Individual responsibilities include:



•        Oversee the communications strategy and web presence including content creation



•        Uphold the “voice” and brand of the online community across all platforms



•        Generate customer success stories, newsletters, blogs, and email campaigns



•        Produce and design all presentations and communication materials (print and digital)



•        Encourage, facilitate, and develop relationships within an online community



•        Drive active engagement between online community members



•        Promote the online community to new audiences and prospects



•        Connect external conversations back to the community



•        Support a small group of higher education professors as the “community all-stars”



•        Supervise the development and distribution of the annual community survey



Skills needed:



•        Strong written and verbal communication skills



•        Program communication experience



•        Social media experience



•        Visual communication and design experience



•        Demonstrated customer service experience



•        Demonstrated process improvement and project management skills



•        Marketing experience preferred



•        Four-year degree required
