Job Title - Buyer/Purchaser (with Contact Administrator)
Location - Peoria IL
Duration - 24 months Assignment (hybrid)
Job Responsibilities:
Position's Contributions to Work Group:
- Preparing, executing, and archiving relevant procurement legal documents (including MSAs, amendments, schedules, NDSAs, etc.)
- Negotiate with suppliers on non-commercial contract terms to minimize enterprise risk.
- Managing document processes/approvals required for general business and SOX Compliance.
- Assisting with other projects as necessary, including reporting on relevant productivity and velocity metrics.
- identifying and implementing process enhancements to drive continuous improvement.

Typical Day in the Role
Typical task breakdown:

- Preferred: Knowledge of procurement; ability to work with organizational strategies and practices, and use tools for buying goods, supplies, equipment and services needed to conduct business.
Interaction with team:
- Daily interaction with team, internal and external customer/suppliers.
Candidate Requirements
Education & Experience Required:
- 4-year college or university degree is required.
- Minimum of 4 years of contract negotiation experience is required.
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Prior experience providing contracting/legal support for a public company.
Technical Skills
(Required)
- Works with the procurement of services.
- Follows established procedures, documentation requirements and approval level requests to conduct procurement activities.
- Uses available procurement systems and tools in transactions with approved suppliers.
- Assists in reviewing the fulfillment of administrative and documentation requirements for the completion of purchase.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of contracts and agreements, including Nondisclosure Agreements, Master Agreements, Statements of Work, Requests for Proposal, Change Request, Local Implementation Agreements, Amendments, and other Niche contract request.
- Complete a comprehensive review of client contracts and terms and conditions to identify, mitigate, and eliminate unusual risks, liabilities, and remedies in accordance with corporate policies and sound business judgment.
- Purchasing Tasks and Activities: Knowledge of policies, regulations and processes of purchasing; ability to use practices and procedures for procurement of materials, components, equipment and services.
Level Working Knowledge
- Records documents of purchasing tasks and activities.
- Uses available procurement systems and tools.
- Ensures compliance with procurement regulations and contract specifications.
- Works with basic purchasing related tasks and activities.
- Adheres to various requirements and steps of the procurement process.
- Proactively anticipate internal and external customer requirements while clearly understanding customer objectives and goals.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated results, process governance, collaboration and/ or performance management.
- Demonstrated Proficiency in all aspects of Contract Management in a critical role.
- Several years of Contract Negotiation on MSA, SOW, Change Requests, etc.
- Excellent spoken written communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Familiarity with the Contract Management Lifecycle.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with teams in a demanding executive-level work environment.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, deliverable-centric team environment.

- Possibly 2 rounds of interviews at least 1 hour.
