POSITION TITLE: Business Intelligence Architect
STATUS: Full-time; Salaried; Exempt
DEPARTMENT: Information Technology
REPORTS TO: Vice President, Digital and Information Technology

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Business Intelligence Architect is responsible for analyzing and implementing business intelligence tools and solutions and is responsible for the overall data architecture and data strategy. The Business Intelligence Architect will strive to understand the company’s goals and initiative and implement solutions which will provide management with critical insights, metrics and reports. Solutions will be fast, scalable and cost effective. process large amounts of information to draw conclusions based on their intelligence This role requires close interactions and clear communications with a variety of business professionals, executives and IT team members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS:
• Lead a project to evaluate and select appropriate business intelligence tools for the company.
• Lead migration from existing business intelligence/report solutions to the new business intelligence platform.
? Aggregate and report on various disparate data sources.
? Develop queries, reports, and dashboards. ? Set the direction and strategy for getting data that is critical to the success of the business.
? Research and present new ways to enhance business intelligence applications and increase user satisfaction.
? Architect and maintain a high performing business intelligence environment.
? Stay up to date with new releases and applicable technology.
? Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors.
? Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work.
? All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB DUTIES:
? Understand data structures, concepts, databases.
? Ability to work with technical teams, business leaders and executives.
? Ability to derive key insights from data and be able to clearly communicate results to others.
? Demonstrate knowledge of developing queries, reports, and dashboards. ? Possess good business acumen, knowledge in diverse and emerging business intelligence technologies, and new architectural concepts and principles. ? Proficiency in Business Intelligence (BI) integration tools, data modeling, system administration and knowledge of data analysis methodologies.
? Proficiency with SQL, ETL tools and expert understanding of In-Memory tools and technologies. ? Strong organization time management, multi-tasking, self-initiative, sense of ownership and accountability.
? Excellent reading, verbal and written communication skills to effectively read and comprehend technical information and instructions, communicate and collaborate with coworkers and clients and document processes, etc.
? Strong focus and attention to details to create high quality production code.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM JOB DUTIES:
• Walk/move from place to place throughout building on a variety of surfaces including tile, wood and carpet.
• Sit/remain seated at a computer for up to 8 hours a day, usually 4 hours at a time.
• Bend, turn and twist repetitively.
• Reach forward, overhead and down below.
• Work indoors in a climate-controlled environment.
• Use a PC with dual monitors, keyboard and mouse continuously daily.
• Close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB DUTIES:
? BS or BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or IT.
? 5+ years of work experience delivering business intelligence solutions ? Expert knowledge in logical and physical database modeling.
